JOB DESCRIPTION:

The scope of the role belongs to the Sourcing area, in the Bedbank division in the HBX group. This role reports to the Area Contracting Manager. They are divided into geographical areas and/or hotel chains (depending of the location of the chain headquarter) if there are not a preferred chain. Each contracting manager has a hotel portfolio assigned and handles their own portfolio. As a Contracting Manager, the main responsibility is to get the best contracting conditions and maximize benefits.

Accountabilities & Responsabilities:

  • Expand hotel portfolio by identifying new opportunities, analyzing hotel market in destination, leading the negotiation process (personal visits, phone or mail) for increasing booking volume in destination

  • Negotiating and contracting rates, special offers, allocation, release periods, overrides, terms and conditions for hotels, self-catering, or serviced apartments ensuring the best available rates and availability for Hotelbeds clients (new properties and recontracting of existing agreements). Negotiate contract renewal conditions: rate, inventory, offers, release periods, marketing contributions, overrides, and cancellation policy. Ensure renewed contracts are Live with sufficient lead time to capture early bookings

  • Ensure our best conditions in the market at any time by comparing our product with the product of our different competitors, Identifying reasons for the disparity, and if it’s necessary renegotiating the current conditions of the contract.

  • Follow up on sales performance by analyzing weekly product/sales reports to identify market trends and revenue/room nights growth opportunities or incidences. Explain the performance of the portfolio/destination when needed leveraging available production data and market insight

  • Deliver full and correct contract documentation and hotel contents (photos, fact sheets, company data). Secure content in acquisition and renewal situations Promote uploading and updating of quality content by hotels through Maxiroom Load directly via wizard or ensure delivery of full and correct hotel contents to the OSC

  • Explaining tools and procedures to suppliers giving supplier portal demonstrations, providing materials and contact support information

  • Act as the face-to-face key point contact for accommodation supplier vendors and develop and maintain excellent relationships with them. Assisting in resolving major complaints of our suppliers and clients negotiating the most suitable solution to maintain good service and relationship with them.

  • Problem-solving: Decisions are mainly guided by policies, procedures, or practices. Some situations may require developing alternatives or interpreting guidelines.

Requirements:

  • Strong influencing and negotiation skills, prior experience in successfully contracting, and negotiating agreements and conditions with hotel suppliers.

  • Passionate about customer satisfaction, driven to create successful long-term commercial relationships

  • Ability to work independently, work to targets, and to deliver success within a fast-paced environment

  • Proven ability to build strong internal and external relationships with individuals and hotel partners using an open and consultative approach

  • Excellent interpersonal skills including highly developed communication and presentation skills, strong cultural versatility, empathy, and high levels of integrity

  • Expected to travel up to 25% of the time and conduct F2F (face-to-face) meetings in the Market.

  • Fluency in English and Spanish language - written and spoken
