JOB DESCRIPTION:

Responsible for ensuring the Regional Commercial team is best positioned to deliver on its business objectives and bring value to clients and suppliers by establishing clear strategic priorities, driving execution effectiveness, and spearheading innovation across and between teams.

  • This role will be “the right hand” of the Regional Commercial Director, and work in partnership with Commercial Planning and Performance team to hit regional targets and bring value to external stakeholders and the company overall.

  • You will determine how to execute the global commercial strategies within the region. In addition, you are empowered to optimize how the team operates through the identification and prioritization of key regional initiatives in the areas of strategy, innovation, processes, and tools.

  • This position will also be responsible for crafting plans to address market opportunities and/or negative deviations when applicable. This will be done in close coordination with Commercial Planning & Performance

  • This position will also be responsible for performance management of the team, together with the Regional Director, to ensure the right focus on targets and delivery.

  • In charge of Sales & Sourcing Support and Destination Sales teams, in order to ensure connection between supply and demand, oversee campaigns etc.


Responsibilities:

  • Work hand-in-hand with the Regional Director to set regional commercial strategies, project manage and execute on both the global and regional strategies through the sales and sourcing teams

  • Define and lead project execution aimed at improving commercial performance and business outcomes using analytics, technology, and process re-design

  • Manage a team to: Align the supply and demand side within the region and between regions to drive gross performance while adding value to our hotel and client partners. Establish business management tools using Tableau and other software to allow the commercial teams to easily track and run their business daily, weekly, monthly. Upskill and motivate the commercial teams to bring incremental value to external stakeholders, while delivering business objectives faster.

  • Own Salesforce within the commercial team, execute corporate initiatives with the commercial team and take a Salesforce centric approach for process and operations

  • Partner with internal stakeholders to ensure both high volumes and profitability: Revenue Management, Accounting, Marketing and more.


Experience:

  • Minimum of 5 years leading large/complex programs and initiatives within or in parallel with commercial teams

  • Minimum 5 years of managing a team and inspiring high levels of employee engagement in remote working environment

  • Experience working with travel distribution and technology (APIs, channel managers, tech houses, etc)

  • Proficiency on tools like Tableau, Sales Force and Excel is a must.

  • Previous experience in project management and leading matrixed project teams to successful completion
