JOB DESCRIPTION:

Go to Market Manager - Retail Business will play a crucial role in assisting the Go to Market Director in formulating and implementing the company' s comprehensive Go to Market (GTM) strategy for our retail business.

The responsibilities will encompass shaping a distinctive marketplace presence, reinforcing our standing as a leading travel tech brand. Drawing upon their strategic insight and adept project management abilities, the job holder will collaborate closely with regional teams to optimize the global output of the FTI program and facilitate the seamless integration of FTI into existing business lines. Additionally, the role will involve identifying the needs of in-market teams and actively contributing to their empowerment, ensuring alignment with FTI' s value proposition.

1. GTM Vision and Strategy

  • Contribute to crafting a compelling vision for the distinctive marketplace positioning of the retail business.

  • Collaborate in evolving the overarching FTI GTM strategy, ensuring seamless translation into regional GTM strategies and actionable plans by working closely with the Go to Market Director and regional counterparts.

  • Partner with relevant HBX functions for internal alignment and efficient execution of the FTI GTM strategy for retail business.

2. Strategy Execution

  • Contribute to the efficient management of the GTM Product Catalogue and GTM Project plan in collaboration with the Go to Market team and other stakeholders in the organisation

  • Oversee the definition of the specific tactics and action plans to achieve the strategy' s objectives, encompassing product launches, market expansion, and channel development within the retail business of the company

  • Manage collaboration with cross-functional teams to ensure smooth execution of the retail part of the strategy, fostering internal alignment and enhancing customer value

  • Develop monitoring tools to enhance the implementation of the FTI strategy, with a focus on aspects that matter to customers, including acceptance rates, transaction costs, and fraud prevention measures, all aimed at optimizing sales value

  • Own the monitoring of the strategy implementation for the retail business within each region through regular reporting and performance measurement

  • Identify potential roadblocks, develop solutions and proactively flag challenges to the Go to Market Director to maintain the course of successful execution

  • Continuously evaluate the effectiveness of the overall FTI GTM strategy, the retail strategy and the regional GTM strategies, make necessary recommendations to optimize their impact

  • Act as a catalyst for change, promoting agility and responsiveness to market dynamics

3. Sales Leadership

  • Oversee sales methodology to increase commercial efficiency of the FTI program within the retail business

  • Contribute to the financial metrics growth for the FTI program

4. Integrating FTI into Existing Business Lines

  • Identify the existing needs for FTI solutions within the retail business

  • Validate and refine marketable FTI solutions to meet client needs and seamlessly integrate them within our existing retail business lines.

5. Organization Upskilling for FTI Value Proposition

  • Jointly with the regional Go to Market Managers identify the specific requirements for selling FTI products to existing and new customers across all retail HBX channels

  • Contribute to the creation of a comprehensive training program for in-market teams to leverage existing sales resources for FTI products

Skills

  • Process-, detail-, and quality-oriented: adept at finding structure in the abstract to enhance understanding, balancing details with the big picture, and consistently delivering high-quality work for internal customers

  • Understanding of technology underlying FTI business models

  • Ability to map transaction journey and economics from a multi-stakeholder perspective

  • Design and deployment of GTM sales program

  • Multi-country product and platform management

  • Manage trade off between acceptance, risk (fraud) and cost in deploying products in market

  • Cross-functional and market project management

  • Effective in communicating vision, strategy, and new commercial ideas both internally and to clients

  • Proficient in executing business initiatives

  • Proven self-starter with record of success in team-oriented environment

  • Ability to influence internal and external stakeholders across markets and divisions

  • A proven attitude for learning technical terms and developing an understanding of complex technical products

  • High level of energy, drive, enthusiasm, initiative, and commitment

  • Bachelor’s degree minimum

  • Fluency in English

Experience

  • A demonstrated track record of working for multinational or regional FTI provider(s)

  • Proven success and career growth in a B2B commercial role

  • Demonstrated expertise in managing challenging projects

  • Proven experience in executing multifaceted business strategies, including defining tactical plans, fostering cross-functional collaboration, monitoring performance, and adapting to market dynamics

  • Experience in developing FTI and platform-based products for entry into new markets

  • Experience in new product deployment and GTM planning

  • Prior experience in a similar role focused on hotel commercial & connectivity optimization will be considered an advantage

  • Management, Economics, Business Administration, IT or similar degree
