JOB SUMMARY

HBX GROUP is seeking a dynamic and strategic Head of Procurement and Vendor Management Office to lead and oversee our global indirect procurement operations. The successful candidate will be responsible for leading a global and multidisciplinary team, with strong focus on developing and executing procurement strategies that ensure timely, compliant, ethical, and cost-effective sourcing of materials, supplies, and services, while maintaining the highest standards of quality, vendor performance and contract management.

The below accountability statements reflect the proactive and strategic approach required for a Head of Procurement & VMO role, outlining key actions, target objects, defined end results, and the methods employed to deliver outcomes.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Lead Global Procurement Strategy:

Develop a comprehensive procurement strategy: Ensure cost optimization, quality rigors, and supplier diversity on a global scale.

Develop a comprehensive sourcing strategy by leveraging market intelligence, negotiating favorable contracts, and fostering strategic supplier relationships.

  • Enhance Procurement Efficiency:

Streamline Procurement processes: Achieve operational efficiency, reduced lead times, and increased process/cost-effectiveness.

Streamline procurement processes by implementing appropriate technologies, optimizing workflows, and establishing key performance indicators (KPIs) to track and improve risk and efficiency.

  • Foster Supplier Collaboration:

Cultivate Collaborative partnerships with suppliers: Create a robust and agile supplier network that promotes innovation, resilience, and sustainable practices.

Cultivate collaborative partnerships with suppliers by fostering open communication, establishing joint development initiatives, and conducting regular (VMO) performance reviews through transparent metrics.

  • Ensure Regulatory and Governance Compliance:

Monitor Procurement activities (group policies, governance protocols and best practices): Mitigate risks and ensure adherence to global and local regulatory requirements.

Monitor procurement activities by implementing rigorous compliance checks, conducting regular audits, and providing ongoing training to procurement teams to ensure strict adherence to regulatory standards.

REQUIRED SKILLS

Financial Acumen: Strong financial management skills and experience to develop and manage procurement budgets and good Cost Analysis skills, paying attention to detail with the ability to conduct thorough cost analysis and identify opportunities for cost savings and efficiency.

Analytical and Data-Driven: Strong Analytical skills and experience to interpret data, conduct market analysis, and make data driven decisions.

Strong Performance metrics experience with proficiency in developing and tracking key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure procurement.

Strategic Thinking : Long Term Vision skills and experience with the ability to develop and communicate a clear long-term procurement strategy aligned with the overall business goals.

Market Analysis skills with proficiency to analyse market trends, understanding industry dynamics and identifying strategic opportunities.

Leadership and Management: Team Leadership skills and experience to inspire and lead a diverse team of procurement professionals. Decision making experience, especially in a high-pressure environment.

Change Management skills with the ability to drive and manage change within the procurement function and across the organization.

Negotiation and Contract Management: Exceptional Negotiation Skills and experience to secure favorable terms, pricing, and contracts with suppliers.

Contract Management experience with proficiency in developing, reviewing, and managing contracts to mitigate risks and ensure compliance.

Supplier Relationship Management (SRM): Stakeholder Collaboration experience for effective collaboration with internal stakeholders and the ability to build strong relationships with key suppliers. Risk Management skills in assessing and managing risks associated with supplier relationships and supply chain disruptions.

Technology Proficiency: Procurement Software experience being familiar with procurement tools and technologies, including e-procurement systems and enterprise resource planning (ERP) systems.
