JOB DESCRIPTION:

The Bedbank business unit is leading Hotelbeds Group charge to reshape travel. It contracts, connects and efficiently distributes a differentiated portfolio of + 100,000 hotels to leading travel trade industry partners including online travel agencies (OTAs), retail agencies, tour operators and airlines.   Our main Bedbank brands include Hotelbeds, Bedsonline, Hotelopia, Travel Partner Brasil, Room & Go, JBS and Easymarket. This position sits within our Bedbank unit.

Accountabilities

  • Expand Hotel portfolio
  • Negotiating and Contracting of rates, special offers, allocation, release periods, overrides, terms and conditions for hotels, self-catering or serviced apartments
  • Negotiate contract renewal conditions
  • Ensure our best conditions in the market
  • Follow up Sales performance
  • Deliver full and correct contract documentation 
  • Explaining tools and procedures to suppliers

Purpose and objective of the role: 

As a Metasearch Specialist, you will be responsible for the success of an assigned portfolio of hotels/hotel chains, and you will be overseeing the evolution of online campaigns and monitoring other performance metrics. Brief introduction as to the purpose of the role and where it sits within the business.

This role sits in the Central Strategy & Performance team within the Finance Department. This function provides insights and supports Bedbank topline strategic planning framework which enables the quantification of the company 3YP (including budget) ambition, forecast and targets for the Bedbank strategic initiatives. This role, a direct report to the Group Director of Tax, plays a vital role in providing tax advisory services on strategic commercial and functional initiatives for Hotelbeds globally.  Working closely with the Director of Tax, senior tax managers in the tax and functional teams and the commercial organisation to develop tax optimisation and strategies, the role holder will play a key role in the Finance organisation and the wider Hotelbeds organization.  There will be many opportunities to interact with the most senior management within Hotelbeds and to deputies for the Director of Tax in certain situations.

Sales Executives direct revenue generation from the designated area will contribute to the overall Regions development. Responsible to build up long-term relations with existing long tail clients.

  • Negotiation and contracting of rates, special offers, allocation, release periods, overrides, terms and conditions for hotels, self-catering or serviced apartments, ensuring the best available rates and availability for Hotelbeds clients (new properties and recontracting of existing agreements).
  • Ensure the best conditions in the market at any time comparing our product with the product of our different competitors, identifying reasons for disparity and if it' s necessary renegotiate the current conditions of the contract.
  • Follow up of sales performance analyzing weekly product/sales reports to identify market trends and revenue/room nights growth opportunities or incidences. Explain performance of the portfolio/destination when needed leveraging available production data and market insight
  • Deliver full and correct contract documentation and hotel contents (photos, fact sheets, company data). Secure content in acquisition and renewal situations
  • Promote uploading and updating of quality contents by hotels through Maxiroom
  • Explaining tools and procedures to suppliers giving supplier portal demonstrations, providing materials and contact support information
  • Act as the face-to-face key point contact for accommodation supplier vendors and develop and maintain excellent relationships with them.


Candidate Profile:

  • University degree (Tourism will be desirable) or vocational training in travel agencies
  • 2+ years' experience in contract negotiation and sales sales and account management background in a Hotel or OTA advantageous
  • Knowledge of MS Office, Atlas, and Salesforce
  • Advanced analytical and Excel skills

1) Support operational activities by

  • Validating and approving journal entries, sometimes request journal posting

  • Managing Fixed Assets capitalization

  • Managing Intercompany process

  • Managing Overhead (OH) process

  • Managing Client Overrides billing from GST perspective

  • Supporting month-end/quarter-end/year-end closing and ensure processes performed by GFS and the outsourced team are properly executed (review for irregular/unexpected transactions and working with the right parties for rectification to ensure completeness and accuracy)

4) Assist on statutory accounts, to provide audit work documentation to satisfactorily answer the queries that are requested by the Internal or external auditors in order to collaborate to obtain clean audit reports, including preparation of draft Financial Statements.

5) Monitor and manage service performance of the outsourced provider, WNS. When there is change/new process design and communicate the revised/new workflow with WNS and request them update Desktop Procedures Manual (DPM)

6) Identify continuous improvement opportunities, implement change, support improvement projects works, and any ad-hoc report or documentation requested to Finance Ops team/as assigned by the management
